Hi, I’m Samantha — a birth doula and prenatal yoga teacher who believes that birth isn’t something to be managed, but something to be supported. I’m here to walk beside you with grounded care, mindful movement, and trust in your body’s innate ability to give birth.

I’ve been fascinated by birth and motherhood for as long as I can remember. What started as a deep curiosity eventually turned into a career path — I initially pursued a nursing degree with the goal of working in labor and delivery. But over time, I realized that the kind of support I wanted to give families didn’t quite fit within the fast-paced, often clinical model of hospital care. I wanted to walk alongside people — to help them feel seen, heard, and empowered in one of the biggest moments of their lives. That realization led me to birth work.

I completed my birth doula and prenatal yoga training through BEHELD in Boulder, Colorado, a thoughtfully designed program grounded in evidence-based care, hands-on practice, and real-world doula preparation. I trained directly under Haley McNabb and Jessica Fawcett, whose wisdom and mentorship continue to guide my work. I am currently pursuing additional certification with Spinning Babies®, a program rooted in understanding the physiological design of birth and how we can support it through movement, positioning, and balance.

Before becoming a doula, I worked as a nanny for over five years, supporting families through the early postpartum months and caring for children from birth through toddlerhood. It was through this work that I began having open, honest conversations with parents about their births — how they felt, what surprised them, and what they wished they’d had more of. That insight shaped my entire approach: parents need consistent, compassionate support, and they deserve access to information that helps them make confident, informed decisions. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that birth is not an emergency by default — it’s a physiological process that your body was designed to do. And while medical care is essential when needed, birth unfolds more smoothly when the birthing person feels calm, supported, and fully in tune with what’s happening in their body.

That’s where I come in. As your doula, I’ll meet you wherever you are — whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, or anything in between. My approach is evidence-based, nonjudgmental, and centered on your goals. I’m here to offer reliable information, steady emotional support, and hands-on comfort techniques when you need them most.

Outside of birth work, I’m an outdoor enthusiast who finds peace and perspective in nature. I bring that same grounded, steady energy into every birth space — calm, adaptable, and fully present.

If you're looking for a doula who respects science and intuition, who believes in your ability to do this, and who will support your choices every step of the way — I’d be honored to work with you.
